One of the most popular tourist trains of Indian Railway which is also popularly known as toy train or kalka simla heritage train got derailed today afternoon while running from Kalka to Shimla station. The train accident has claimed lives 3 tourists as per reports.
Among dead there are two British citizens who came to enjoy the joy ride in heritage train. Apart from dead people, more than one dozen travelers have also got injured badly.
Those who got minor injuries were taken to nearby hospital at Solan city. While those who got major injuries were admitted to PGI hospital at Chandigarh.

As per initial reports the accident and subsequent deaths were cause due to rubble on the track which had possibly fallen on track after landslide in mountains.
It is to be noted that the toy train is possibly the worlds slowest train with average speed of 8 kph only. Thus accident due to over speeding of train can be ruled out entirely. In fact the train is so slow that people enjoy jumping in and out of train while their fellow travelers click photos and record videos.
